Returns & Refunds Policy

At Batley DIY, we want you to shop with confidence. If something isn’t right with your order, we’ll always aim to resolve it fairly and promptly.

🔄 Returns

We offer a 14-day return window from the date you receive your order.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in their original packaging
  • All components, accessories, and labels must be included
  • Proof of purchase is required

All returns must be authorised before being sent back.

Returns sent without prior authorisation may be refused.

🔁 Change-of-Mind Returns & Cancellations

If you wish to return or cancel an order due to a change of mind (i.e. not due to a fault or error):

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • A handling and processing fee of up to 10% may be deducted from the refund

This fee covers inspection, handling, and restocking.

The handling fee does not apply to items that are:

  • Faulty
  • Damaged in transit
  • Incorrectly supplied

🛠️ Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If your item arrives:

  • Faulty
  • Damaged
  • Incorrect

You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery via email or chat.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photographs of the item
  • Photographs of the external packaging and shipping label

We will assess the issue and arrange a replacement, repair, or refund as appropriate.

🚫 Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty or incorrect:

  • Custom or special-order items
  • Items that have been used, installed, or assembled
  • Hygiene-sensitive products once opened
  • Hazardous or flammable goods
  • Gift cards

Items marked as “Final Sale” are non-returnable except where required by law.

🔄 Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you wish to exchange an item, please:

  • Request and complete a return
  • Place a new order once the return is approved

🇪🇺 EU Customers – Cooling-Off Period

If your order is shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of delivery, in line with EU consumer regulations.

Returned items must:

  • Be unused
  • Be in original packaging
  • Include proof of purchase

Return authorisation is still required before sending any item back.

💰 Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your authorised return, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Processing typically takes 5–10 business days

Please note that banks and card issuers may take additional time to reflect the refund.
