Osmo Door Oil Raw is a specially formulated interior wood finish designed to protect and enhance internal wooden doors while maintaining their natural, unfinished look. Made from natural plant oils and waxes, this product provides a durable, microporous surface that resists water, dirt, and everyday wear.

Unlike standard clear finishes that deepen the colour of the wood, Osmo Door Oil Raw contains small amounts of white pigments that counteract the “wet-look” effect, helping to preserve the natural, untreated appearance of light-coloured wood species such as oak, pine, or spruce. The result is a raw, matte look with the full protection and easy maintenance of a hardwax oil.

Key Features:

  • Preserves the natural appearance of interior wooden doors
  • Lightly pigmented to reduce the yellowing or darkening effect
  • Microporous – allows the wood to breathe and prevents cracking or flaking
  • Water-, dirt-, and abrasion-resistant
  • Ideal for solid wood, veneered, and engineered doors
  • Easy to maintain and recoat without sanding
  • Made with natural plant oils and waxes
  • Safe for humans and animals once dry

  • Product Specifications:
  • Finish: Matt, with a natural raw appearance
  • Coverage: Approx. 24 m² per litre (per coat, depending on wood type)

  • Drying Time: 8–10 hours (with good ventilation)
  • Recommended Coats: 2 coats for untreated doors; 1 coat for renovation

  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
  • Q1: Will this product make my door darker or shinier?
No. Osmo Door Oil Raw is designed to minimise colour change and preserve the raw, matte look of natural wood.
  • Q2: Can I use this oil on veneered doors?
Yes. It is suitable for both solid wood and veneered doors. Always test on a small area first to check compatibility.
  • Q3: Is it suitable for all wood types?
It works best on light-coloured woods like oak, pine, and spruce. Darker woods may not benefit from the raw finish effect.
  • Q4: Can it be applied over previously finished doors?
Only if the previous coating is fully removed. It must be applied to bare wood for proper penetration and adhesion.
  • Q5: How do I maintain the finish over time?
Clean regularly with Osmo Spray Cleaner or Osmo Wash & Care. Apply a maintenance coat as needed — no sanding required.
